Top rope course

Our top rope course covers the essentials and gives you the knowledge to start climbing in a secure and efficient manner. In a small group of 4-12 participants you’ll learn the basics about gear requirements and the necessary belaying techniques used with climbing. The course is divided into three parts with a green card examination at the end and certificate upon completion.

We recommend all our customers to belay with an assisted locking brake, therefore you will learn to belay with the assisted locking brake GriGri.

Part 1

Under den første delen av kurset skal du lære de grundlæggende i sikkerhed, herunder hvordan man bruger klatreudstyr, belayteknik og partnercheck. Dette er kombineret med praktiske øvelser hvor du også får muligheden for at klatre.

Part 2

Under den anden del af kurset vil vi gentage, hvad der blev undervist i del et, for at opdage viden og få en bedre forståelse. Du vil lære litt mere om klatringudstyr og også hvad vi kalder på kunsten at falde og hvordan man belaster en klatrer som er faldende.

Part 3

Under del tre skal du gå til eksamen for det grønne kort. Den eksamen består af en kort skriftlig prøve efterfulgt af en praktisk prøve, hvor du deler din evne og forståelse af hvad du har lært til din instruktør. Passing the exam entitles you to a green card, which is the license that is mandatory for belaying at the Climbing Center and also for all other certified climbing gyms in Sweden. Du vil også få et bevis og kompendium med nyttige og viktige opplysninger for å ta med deg hjem.
